CLIENT OBJECTIVE

Zeeland Charter Township desired a Fire and Public Safety Building in the heart of Zeeland Township to support their current fire stations on the north and south of town as well as to provide the best possible response times throughout the township. The purpose of the project was to further build upon their strong capability to handle emergencies of all types and to ensure the township’s advanced public safety initiatives continue to serve the growing community.

PD SOLUTION

The Paradigm team designed the Zeeland Fire Station to support the objectives of Zeeland Charter Township. The new facility was designed and built with following features: drive-through apparatus bays to accommodate Firefighting and EMT equipment needs, administrative office space for the Fire Department and County Sheriff’s office, living quarters for full-time firefighter and EMT needs and a training and meeting space which can accommodate up to 40 individuals. The building was designed with full standalone capabilities including an emergency standby power generator for both the station and the surrounding businesses. Additionally, the exterior of the building was designed to complement the neighboring township offices.
