Vestas received an order for 56 turbines that will power Consumers Energy’s Lake Winds Energy Park in Mason County, Mich. The turbines, Vestas model V100-1.8 MW are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2012 and they should be turning by the end of the year.
Consumers Energy would like to decrease customer bills by $1.80 per month — while eliminating an expensive solar power subsidy — if state regulators approve the utility’s request Tuesday morning.
